Chocolate Fondu

A family tradition on New Year's Eve. This is so rich and delicious! Definitely worth the calories :)

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips I used guittard choc. chips
1/2 c milk chocolate chips
1/2 c butter
1 tsp pure vanilla

melt condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter and vanilla in sauce an over medium heat until melted. Serve Warm. Thin with whole milk if sauce is too thick.

Cheese Fondu

Our New Year's Eve family tradition is doing a variety of Fondu. Our family favorite (besides Chocoloate) is this one.

1 and 1/2 lb cheese (half grueyer and half emmentaler or swiss)
1 clove garlic
2 cups apple juice
white pepper
nutmeg
paprika

grate cheese mix with 2 Tbsp flour (easy to shake cheese & flour in zip lock bag)

Rub clove of garlic in pan. Pour apple juice in pan on medium heat. Warm until bubbly (NOT boiling). Add cheese slowly. Add white pepper, nutmeg, paprika.  Stir and warm until cheese melts and is a nice consistency.
