Pantry Secrets Bread Recipe

courtesy of Nate & Josalyn Watson

We were invited over for Sunday dinner by the amazing Watson family! I love the friendship we share. Josalyn & I were college roomies @ Dixie & she was one of my bridesmaid's. They have been so influential for our family getting settled in Utah. They helped us find a home to rent in which happened to be near them. Dinner at their house was amazing & I was completely shocked when I found out that Nate made the dinner rolls! They were light, fluffy, golden brown and absolutely delicious. Melt in your mouth…difficult to just eat one! He was so kind to share his recipe.

10 1/2 Cups white unbleached bread flour
1/2 cup sugar*
1 Tbsp salt
3 rounded Tbsp saf-instant yeast
3 Tbsp liquid lecithin**
4 cups hot tap water

Mix dry ingredients. Add lecithin & water. Mix for 1 minute and check consistency. If dough is too dry, add more water. If dough is too moist, add more flour. Mix for 5 minutes (Do not add water or flour to the dough after it has finished mixing.) Spray counter & pans with cooking spray. Shape loves & cover with dish towel. Let rise 25 min. Bake @ 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

This recipe makes four loaves of bread
*if using whole wheat flour, use 1/2 cup honey instead of sugar.
**squeeze & pur approximately 3 Tbsp of lecithin directly into the bowl. Do not measure. You can get this at Macey's.
